Today, British Columbia replenishes its population by inviting tech professionals and other active and talented personnel from around the world through the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP). On September 10, 2024, the province did a general invite to those with skills in technology, healthcare, childcare, construction, and veterinary, among others.   • Childcare Targeted Draw: Understanding the importance of early childhood educators to the development of children the province issued 30 ITAs to persons under the National Occupational Classification (NOC 42202).   • Healthcare Targeted Draw: Trying to advance healthcare services, 18 applicants with jobs in healthcare fields were enrolled, starting from a total of 99 points. This targeted approach allows the institutions to meet society’s need for qualified healthcare personnel in British Columbia.

  • Construction Sector: The province also addressed certain complexity of the construction industry by calling 19 competent contenders. This sector is crucial in the development of infrastructure for the growth of urban centers, therefore, is a strategic interest of the BC PNP.

  • Veterinary Care Occupations: In another but crucial call, British Columbia has been issuing up to 5 invitations to workers in the Veterinary profession.
