Canada issued over 3,000 invitations under the IEC



 In a significant development for young international job seekers, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) recently conducted new draws for the International Experience Canada (IEC) program. From July 8 to July 14, Canada extended 3,045 invitations to apply for an open work permit under the IEC program. As of July 14, there were 34,478 candidates eagerly waiting in the pool for their chance to receive an invitation.

  • Iceland: 1 ITA

  • Ireland: 63 ITAs

  • Italy: 58 ITAs

  • Japan: 138 ITAs

  • Korea: 30 ITAs

  • Latvia: 1 ITA

  • Lithuania: 3 ITAs

  • Luxembourg: 1 ITA

  • Netherlands: 2 ITAs

  • New Zealand: 43 ITAs

  • Poland: 9 ITAs

  • Portugal: 16 ITAs

  • Slovakia: 3 ITAs

In total, Canada has issued 95,633 invitations under the IEC Program in 2024, reflecting its ongoing commitment to welcoming young talent from around the world.
